Town Planner Jason Bachand explained that Liberty Lane developers requested not to install the playground equipment shown in their approved plans and to defer constructing immediate sidewalk connections, while keeping the area as open recreational space. CMA Engineers reviewed the revised plan and raised no issues; Bachand characterized the change as a field modification that could be handled administratively but sought Board concurrence due to ambiguity.
Vice Chair Ward Galanis moved that the playground removal request (per applicant memo dated July 14, 2026) be processed as a field modification and handled administratively; Richard Snetsky seconded. The motion passed 5-1 with Keith Lessard recorded as the lone dissent, with Lessard saying he believed the submitted plans included a playground and that it should remain. The minutes record the Board noted the area will remain recreational space.
