On June 9, the Kane County Board adopted Resolution R 2026-13 authorizing the employer pick-up of Utah Retirement Systems (URS) Tier II public safety employee retirement contributions. County staff said the change updates contribution percentages because of shifts in the retirement system’s composition and results in a net change of 0.75%.
“Motion to approve Resolution R 2026-13 a Resolution authorizing the employer pick up of URS Tier II Public Safety Employee Retirement Contributions made by Commissioner Brown and motion carried with all commissioners present voting in favor,” the minutes state. Commissioners recorded the motion and approved the resolution unanimously; the minutes note the financial impact is minimal.
