Branding and marketing dominated discussion at the July 20 meeting. Commissioners reported that two-by-six-foot banners are installed at the extents of the district and that the printing company is being consulted about color accuracy. The commission plans to add five more banners and is considering purchasing business cards and promotional materials.
Social media and web presence were discussed: the Facebook page has launched but needs content, Instagram is close to launching, and website creation is in progress. Commissioner Paige Duprey volunteered to post on social media and requested a partner to supply content. The commission prioritized completion of a tri-fold brochure and the website; commissioners also flagged the need to explain three support avenues for the Cultural District (the municipal commission, volunteer CCD organizers, and a nonprofit friends group) in printed and web materials.
