Rangeley swears in new dispatcher and patrol officer; recruits emphasize service

Dispatcher Britney Craig described her transition from Glenwood Springs and said she was "proud to stand here as I join the Rangeley Police Department and serve our community as a dispatcher." Officer Laura Ranker (sometimes referred to as Renker in the meeting) thanked the council, her family and department leadership and said she was honored to serve the community. "I am committed to serving this community with integrity, professionalism, and respect," she said. Both employees received congratulations from the council and the chief swore in the officer as part of the meeting's personnel actions.
Why it matters: New hires fill immediate staffing needs for public safety and were publicly introduced so residents and council members could recognize the individuals serving the community.
