At its Sept. 4 Action Session the Lyon County Commission approved routine business including the agenda, prior meeting minutes and warrants payable totaling $136,844.60. The motion to approve warrants for 09/05/2025 carried by a 3-0 vote (Peck/Bartel).
The commission approved a Temporary Permit for location and zoning for applicants listed as 'ABC' and Hugo Arevalo for a special event at 1223 E Logan Ave scheduled for Sept. 6, 2025; minutes note that the prior weekend's event was rained out. Commissioners also reviewed personnel and payroll changes for the week but recorded no appointments.
Separately, by motion (Duft/Bartel 3-0) the board moved into a legal executive session with County Counselor Molly Priest and attorney Forrest Rhodes of Foulston Siefkin LLP to discuss a pending employment claim under attorney-client privilege; the session was set to end at 10:05 a.m. The meeting reconvened at 10:05 a.m. and later adjourned (Duft/Bartel 3-0).
