City reports roof contract, bridge work and maintenance plans; DOH contractor tar spill under review

Staff also described a tar spill during a state paving operation that splattered building surfaces; crews are using mineral spirits and power washing and staff said they will ask the contractor to file an insurance claim if cleanup is unsatisfactory. Other items noted: HVAC duct cleaning and an air balancing estimate of about $8,000; a maintenance-gate mechanism replacement budgeted at $9,700; and a 30–60 day lead time for a Washington Street streetlight order. Staff said RFPs for the maintenance building and other capital work are imminent.
