Staff updated the committee on the Augustine Avenue Trail project. A pre-construction meeting for Phase 1 occurred on Sept. 18, and William Hertz, Inc. received a notice to proceed; staff reported the bid amount at roughly $688,000 (noted as slightly north of $684,000) and said the city paid a $14,000 supplemental cost. Project supervisor Scott Boyd will oversee the work and staff said no right-of-way or utility issues have been identified for Phase 1.
Phase 2 remains on hold pending return of recorded easement/road deed; Phase 3 design options for feeder trails are under review with Alpha Engineering, which is due to present phase options to council. Staff indicated they will circulate updates as contracts and logistics are finalized.
