Jefferson County authorizes loan of older chipper to Bonneville County; MOU to be drafted

Engineering staff reported that Bonneville County called requesting use of an older chipper after their new unit experienced equipment failure. Mike Carter informed the Board that the counties would document the arrangement in a memorandum of understanding. The Board approved lending the chipper in exchange for use of Bonneville County equipment of equal value.
The motion was passed by roll call. Commissioners and staff indicated the arrangement would be formalized through an MOU spelling out terms of loan, liability, and duration before equipment exchange.
