The San Pasqual Valley Unified Board of Trustees ratified December warrants in the amount of $784,221.37 during its Jan. 13 meeting and approved routine consent items including meeting minutes, seniority lists and surplus auctions.
The board accepted donations to Strong Hearts from the Quechan Tribe ($500) and the Quechan Police Department ($300), an FFA donation from T & P Farms for $5,000 and an IVROP Community Foundation donation of $1,000 for FFA activities. Field trips approved included the Arizona First Lego League Explore Festival in Phoenix (Jan. 10, 2026) and other instructional travel; several trips and trainings were included in the information agenda.
Item #4 (hiring recommendations) was pulled from the consent agenda for review in closed session and later approved after reconvening. Trustee Derma moved to approve consent items 1–3 and 5–15; Trustee Owl seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
