The San Pasqual Valley Unified Board of Trustees voted Jan. 13 to adopt a set of CSBA-recommended policies and administrative regulations covering Sections 1000 through 7000, including rules on district-sponsored social media, superintendent recruitment, design‑build contracts, debt issuance and management, parent rights, interdistrict attendance, and courses of study.
Board members approved the full package (items 1–8) on a single motion. The motion to approve items 1–8 carried unanimously. Superintendent Richard Cordero presented the policies as recommended by the California School Boards Association (CSBA).
The board's action updates governance and administrative regulations across policy areas the district said needed alignment with CSBA guidance. Trustees did not amend the items on the floor; the board accepted the recommendations as presented.
The board identified these policy adoptions as routine business, and the district will post the updated policies to its policy manual and bring implementation items to future agendas as needed.
