Amber Rehberg, UW-Extension Director, introduced herself to the Land Use/UW-Extension Committee on May 21 and provided an overview of Extension activities across three regions and three tribal nations.
Rehberg reviewed the Memorandum of Understanding and the county contract (both on file) and noted that a federally funded FoodWIse program was cut in 2025; area Extension staff are exploring options to create a youth-development position. She said the Reality Fair is planned to include Phillips and Chequamegon School Districts in 2027 and that supervisory assignments will shift after a new supervisor begins June 29. The committee received the update and the Extension-related vouchers were approved under the meeting’s miscellaneous section.
