Buchanan County supervisors approve about $1.17 million in claims, including major resurfacing payment

The motion to approve the larger claims list was made by Supervisor John Kurtz and seconded by Supervisor Keith Wieland; the board recorded the vote as "all in favor."
The printed vendor listing included in the claims packet shows a total of $1,170,386.48. Major line items in that listing include Bruening Rock Products (resurfacing) at $816,639.18, IMWCA premium $78,071.00, Metal Culverts, Inc. $64,125.75, People’s Memorial Hospital $24,069.57 and Pictometry $23,453.77. Auditor Kris Wilgenbusch processed the claims and was present for the approval. The board took no separate recorded roll-call votes beyond the unanimous voice approvals stated in the minutes.
