The Floyd County Veterans Affairs meeting convened at 4:00 p.m. on May 18, 2026, at the Floyd County Courthouse in Charles City. The minutes record that the commission approved the agenda, the October minutes and the consent agenda following motions by Tim Speas and seconds by Gary Quint.
The commission also approved payment of bills, budgets and claims during the session. Director Todd Schriever provided a departmental update that included plans for a Veterans picnic in Central Park and a Memorial Day coffee event and noted an association departure. The minutes list the next meeting as June 15, 2026. The record shows a motion to adjourn by Tim Speas; the minutes do not record a second or the vote outcome for that motion.
