Council approves amendment to permit communications transmitters and towers in Light Manufacturing zone

Councilmember Josephine Prophet moved to approve the ordinance amendment; Joe Cornell recused himself from the vote. The roll call produced a tie between ayes and nays and Mayor Wanda Irish cast the deciding vote in favor of the amendment. Recorded votes were: Debbie Lockhart — yes; Charlie Shutt — no; John Gray — no; Josephine Prophet — yes; Mayor Wanda Irish — yes (tie-break). The amendment to Ordinance No. 490 was approved.
