Primary and Elementary schools donate $2,419.50 to Rainbow Connection; staff recognized

Elementary Principal Heather Whipkey reported that she and four students appeared on television on Sunday, March 8 to present donations from the Primary and Elementary buildings to the Rainbow Connection, totaling $2,419.50. Mrs. Grandison commended the effort and said Claymont collected more than any other school during the drive.
The board also issued recognitions including Brent Gates for assisting a coworker needing medical attention, Heather Dotts and Jane Lesiecki for CISM Response Team work and honorary sheriff recognitions, and noted student qualifiers for state wrestling: Kam Stout, Dre’Vonn Searcy, Nile Abbuhl, Daniel McGarr, Laiken Warner and Kendall Boitnott.
