New Marlborough adopts policy limiting direct contact with Town Counsel

Town Administrator Mari Enoch said, "Town Counsel will not respond to anyone other than those listed in the policy," and explained that the rule is intended to ensure efficient operations, consistent legal guidance, and responsible management of legal costs.
The Select Board voted unanimously to adopt the policy as read (Tara B. White Aye; Bill West Aye; Maggie Arian Aye). The policy instructs other officials to route legal questions through the Town Administrator or a Select Board member if they require legal advice.
