Select Board signs Order of Taking for culvert easement on Goodnow property

The Select Board voted to sign an Order of Taking to secure permanent and temporary easements donated by the Goodnow family for reconstruction of the Canaan–Southfield Road culvert: a permanent easement of 3,080 sq ft and a temporary easement of 949 sq ft.
Town Administrator Mari Enoch told the Select Board that Town Counsel will record an Order of Taking to support reconstruction of the culvert on Canaan–Southfield Road and that the town needs permanent and temporary easements on the Goodnow property. Enoch said the permanent easement covers 3,080 square feet and the temporary easement covers 949 square feet, and that the Goodnow family donated both easements.
The Select Board voted unanimously to sign the Order of Taking for the permanent and temporary easements (Tara B. White Aye; Bill West Aye; Maggie Arian Aye). Town staff thanked the Goodnows for their cooperation and long history of support for town projects.
