Historical Society requests dedicated display space in Town Hall renovation

John Schreiber, speaking on behalf of the New Marlborough Historical Society, asked the Select Board to include a dedicated space in the Town Hall renovation to house historic artifacts that are currently stored in Town Hall. He said the Historical Society had explored buying the old Grange Hall in Hartsville but that the asking price was $250,000.
Select Board members and Town staff said they could not guarantee dedicated space until programming and design details are finalized and asked the Historical Society to provide specifics on how much display and storage space it would require. Schreiber said he would get those figures to Town Administrator Mari Enoch for consideration in the design process.
