The Kearney Board of Aldermen approved its consent agenda at the May 18 meeting, which included minutes from May 4, the April Municipal Division summary, the city’s April paid warrant report and Resolution No. 40‑2026 awarding the 2026 Street Maintenance Project to Vance Brothers LLC.
"A motion was made by Aldermen Spencer and seconded by Aldermen Lehman to approve the Consent Agenda as presented," the minutes state. The motion carried by a unanimous vote of the four aldermen present (Holt, Spencer, King and Lehman). The minutes did not record dollar amounts, a contract term, or a construction start date for the street project.
The consent-agenda approval completed routine business and allowed staff to proceed with the procurement steps specified in the resolution. No alderman requested separate consideration for any consent item during the meeting.
