Community Development Director David Pavlich presented Bill No. 38 to rezone approximately 12.42 acres at 600 West 92 Highway. Pavlich said the parcel currently has two zoning districts—C (General Commercial) along 92 Highway and M (Industrial) elsewhere—and the rezoning would place the full parcel in C‑General Commercial because the city's code allows truck stops only by conditional use permit in the commercial district.
The board approved the rezoning on second reading by a 4–0 vote and the ordinance was numbered 1701‑2026. The motion to approve on second reading was made by Alderman King and seconded by Alderman Holt.
