NICE board approves multiple personnel moves, authorizes maternity leave
Summary
The board authorized maternity leave for Andrea Covert, accepted resignations from two staff members and approved hires including a special education teacher, an elementary teacher (one abstention) and a new district athletic director.
At its July 21 meeting the NICE Community School District Board approved a slate of personnel actions: authorization of maternity leave, acceptance of resignations and several hires.
"Motion by Scott Mann supported by John Grove to authorize maternity leave for Andrea Covert," the minutes record; that motion carried. The board also recognized letters of resignation from Emily Helgren and Madison Macek and approved hiring Stacey Lee as a special education teacher. The board approved the hire of SueAnn Morton as an elementary teacher; the minutes note Scott Mann abstained on that vote. Later, the board approved hiring Robert Zhulkie as District Athletic Director and Assistant Administrator.
