Alliance City Council approves consent calendar, awards landfill contract and accepts RSVP grant

The consent package included Resolution No. 25-54, authorizing the mayor to sign contract documents with K.L. Wood of Alliance, Nebraska, for the Alliance Landfill Hydrant and Kansas Street Water Main Looping Project in the amount of $272,446.00 (Account No. 08-52-52-59-970). The Council also approved Resolution No. 25-55 to accept an AmeriCorps Seniors Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) grant covering April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2029, at $83,979.00 per year.
Vice Mayor Mashburn moved to approve the Consent Calendar, Councilman Yates seconded, and the roll call vote was 5-0 in favor. City Manager Cox and Finance Director Baker reviewed the expenditures and confirmed they were within budgeted appropriations to date. The approved minutes and full claims list are on file in the City Clerk’s office.
