Joint office sets fundraising and outcome goals, asks commissioners for partnerships

When Ernest Brooks asked whether there are formal statistical targets, a presenter replied, "10% year over year." Commissioners were asked to consider partnering on discretionary funds and to expect a request from the mayor for office funding later in the budget cycle.
Presenters emphasized that funding will be targeted to organizations that are evidence-informed and have capacity to do the work; the office will offer capacity-building supports such as grant-writing and budgeting series so smaller providers can compete for state and federal grants.
