District says LASSO, Strong Foundations work is underway; region to record exemplary lessons

"That work is well underway," a district curriculum leader told the board, describing learning walks, embedded coach support and follow‑up visits that have led to positive feedback and minor constructive recommendations. The speaker said Region 7 requested permission to video strong classroom lessons to use in regional training, and the district agreed to share examples.
The speaker also described a math planning process that will produce a draft K–12 framework and guide an instructional materials adoption cycle for the 2026–27 school year. Staff emphasized coaching, progress monitoring and targeted follow‑up as the main levers to support classroom teachers during rollout.
