Denise (speaker 2) presented the independent audit packet and told the board auditors issued an unmodified, or clean, opinion with no exceptions and no management letter for the 2023–24 fiscal year. "We were given a clean audit with no reservation," she said, and noted there were no federal audit findings for the district.
Denise walked trustees through the financial statements, including the districtwide net position figure and reconciliations to the general fund. She said the district recorded about $5,647,000 in federal dollars for the 2023–24 school year, including one-time ESSER money, and that the increased general fund balance reflected planned timing moves such as shifting payroll to ESSER for one-time spending. A motion to approve the audit report was moved and seconded and the board voted to approve.
