The Midvale City Council approved its consent agenda unanimously on Feb. 4, including the Jan. 21 meeting minutes, Resolution No. 2025-R-08 to allow the alternative ranked-choice voting method in the 2025 municipal election, an interlocal agreement with Salt Lake County for traffic-signal maintenance, and the 2025 fleet purchase and surplus lists.
Council Member Paul Glover moved to approve the consent agenda; Council Member Heidi Robinson seconded. Mayor Dustin Gettel called for a roll-call vote and all five present council members voted aye.
The interlocal agreement will formalize Salt Lake County’s role in signal maintenance; staff will proceed with contract implementation. The ranked-choice voting resolution authorizes an alternative voting method for the municipal election, as permitted under state law; staff will provide election details to the public as the city prepares for the 2025 election.
