A staff member for Boyne City Public Schools told the board the press box at the athletic complex should be finished this week and crews will follow with electrical hookups and site restoration. "I think Tuesday, but definitely Wednesday, they'll be done with the press box," the staff member said.
The staff member said electricians will handle scoreboard and PA wiring and that Team Elmer's will complete earthwork and hydroseeding afterward. He cautioned that heavy rain combined with a large home crowd could make the area muddy for a season while turf and seed establish. The district plans to remove the temporary road and fencing once work is complete and add permanent signage near the first home gateway at Salpina by the end of August.
