The commission approved a conditional use permit Dec. 9 allowing Live Meta Pilates to operate a 1,181‑square‑foot studio (12 reformer stations) in the Alicia Landing Shopping Center. Associate planner Afton Adipore said the center has a surplus of 11 parking spaces relative to the studio’s demand and that the city traffic engineer reviewed and approved the parking calculations.
Owner Christopher Farnsworth said the Mission Viejo location will be the company’s ninth studio and described the reformer equipment and class structure. Commissioners asked about equipment layout and hours; staff recommended approval subject to standard conditions and the resolution was adopted unanimously.
The permit requires the applicant to process future signage separately and to follow the conditions in the adopted resolution before opening.
