"What we have here are the 4 goals listed that the committee developed before I came on board, create, manage, monitor, and measure," Banks told the committee. Members offered short statements emphasizing equity, accountability and clearer local oversight.
Trustee Regina Newman said pilots should only be issued when they contribute to the county's economic well-being and that elected bodies such as the commission and council should have a role in approvals. Natalie McKinney (School Board, District 2) emphasized equity in collection and distribution of resources so the county can meet responsibilities to school students. The committee will aggregate members' statements and return a consolidated vision for finalization at the next meeting.
