Committee discusses research team, public portal for pilot records

Committee members raised staffing and practical questions about how to inventory and analyze dozens of pilot agreements. Commissioner Brooks said Administrator Bailey volunteered to assemble a research team that would align with assessor and trustee staff: "Administrator Bailey has a little research team and they are going to work, align with us and miss Banks' staffing this body to help us and guide us in the research we need to do to accomplish the goals that we set out to do." The chair said research-team support and public notification will be necessary given the scope of the work.

Trustee Richard (transcript: 'Richard Trane') offered to work with the assessor's office "on some sort of a portal" to make documents available to the public depending on what arrives through subpoenas or requests; counsel cautioned proprietary records may require court action before public release. The committee agreed to coordinate with staff on access logistics ahead of its next meeting.
