Librarian to seek $10,500 from council for basement mechanical and electrical analysis

City Librarian Jennifer told trustees she will seek City Council approval next Tuesday for an amendment to the Nolan Tam contract to add a full mechanical and electrical analysis of the library basement. "We'll be asking for an additional $10,500 to do that to include that work in, the report that's coming from Nolan Tam," she said.
Jennifer explained the planning and building department recommended the fuller analysis because basement heating upgrades opened questions about reusing the space; if council approves the amendment, Jennifer said the library should receive the consultant's report by May 2 and then take recommendations back to council for direction.
