Beecher board directs attorney to draft ordinance dissolving Youth Commission

The chair asked trustees to move that the village attorney draft an ordinance to dissolve the Beecher Youth Commission by repealing chapter 5 of title 2 of the village code and to make any necessary conforming code amendments. "I'd like to have someone make a motion directing the village attorney to draft an ordinance dissolving the village of Beecher Youth Commission by repealing chapter 5 of title 2 of village code and make any necessary conforming amendments to village code," the chair said; a motion and second followed and trustees approved the direction on roll call.

Trustees discussed that commission members indicated they intend to form a nonprofit to continue programming and volunteers.
