Human Resources Executive Director Yvonne Shorts Lind summarized four employment items for the board and recommended approval. She said the contracts presented (coordinator labor contract, directors' labor contract, amendments to the superintendent contract and the general counsel contract amendments) shared common terms including a 5% base salary increase in year one and a 3% increase in year two, conversion of pay‑for‑performance to a stipend and increases in district contributions for health and deferred compensation.
“So the 4 contracts submitted to the board...the common changes are a 5% increase to the base salary in year 1, a 3% increase to base salaries in year 2,” Shorts Lind said. The board then voted sequentially to approve the coordinators' agreement, the directors' agreement and the addenda to the superintendent's and general counsel's contracts; each motion passed unanimously, 5–0.
Shorts Lind asked HR and payroll to begin implementation upon ratification. Board members acknowledged negotiators and legal counsel for reaching tentative agreements.
