Treasurer reports April shortfall, says county holds about three months of cash

Renee Leinfelder, County Treasurer, told the Executive Committee the Price County April financial report showed $2,525,267.16 in revenues and $3,525,261.85 in disbursements, and that “the County has about three months’ worth of cash available to cover expenses if needed.”
Leinfelder reviewed the County’s cash and investment totals, including $7,496,508.11 in total investments, $3,137,325.68 in ending checking balance, $10,633,833.79 total cash available and $3,646,350.00 in outstanding loans. The committee discussed adherence to GASB guidance and Baker Tilly’s recommended best practices for cash-on-hand management.
