Paula Houdek, elected chair of the Price County Opioid Ad-Hoc Committee, will lead work to prepare a spending recommendation for $624,111 in opioid settlement funds. The committee unanimously elected Houdek after nominations during the May 13 meeting; Tiffany Palecek was unanimously elected vice chair.
Nick Trimner of the Office of Administration told the committee the group has five scheduled meetings to develop a spending plan and will send a recommendation to the Price County Health and Human Services Board. "The County has received $247,775.55 to date," Trimner said as he outlined the timeline. The committee plans a June meeting to expand ideas, a July meeting to assemble a draft package, and August–September meetings to finalize recommendations for the HHS Board and the County Board of Supervisors, which has final approval.
