Fiscal staff noted concerns about the share of high-cost placements paid from levy dollars versus amounts covered by state grants and the reporting of those totals.
Keri Hammond, Fiscal Administration Division Manager, later presented high-cost placement reports showing $148,293 in Children & Youth expenses for March 2026 (a 17.5% decrease from 2025) and $98,621 for AODA high-cost placements (also a 17.5% decrease). The board did not take further formal action on funding allocations during the meeting.
Votes and procedural approvals at the meeting included adoption of the vouchers and routine approvals of minutes; the board set its next meeting for June 10, 2026.
