Council received an update that the Mallard Point project will have a project coordinator hired to support coordination among the developer, the city and residents as the developer pursues final map approval and demolition and bulkhead permits.
City Manager Robert said staff and Rebecca Markwick have discussed two potential firms and that the coordinator would organize the project's web page, liaise with the developer’s project manager, perform daily inspections and sign‑offs, and communicate with the public. He added that the city issued a third incompleteness letter to the developer late last week and that staff will finalize a relocation‑specialist contract this week.
"Rebecca Markwick and I have been discussing the coordinator role with 2 potential firms," Robert said, adding the city hopes to bring a contract forward for council approval in August.
