Ms. Jeffries addressed the board in first person, describing a 21-year association with the school, roles that included grade-level lead, LPAC coordinator, athletic director and yearbook advisor, and her desire to continue serving the students and community in the new role. "My journey at Sunwell Blends started 21 years ago with an ad in the newspaper," she said in her remarks. Trustees and attendees gave her applause and welcomed her into the coordinator position.
The board noted Ms. Jeffries’ credentials and experience with inclusive classrooms and said they look forward to her leadership in the new role; no formal vote was required for the personnel announcement.
