Township places property owner on notice over junk at 3864 150th St NW

Property owner John Haack appeared before the Silver Creek Township Board about ongoing junk and property condition issues at 3864 150th St NW. The board reiterated that county ordinance requirements must be followed, and Vice Chairman Mike Helman said the township was placing Mr. Haack on notice that no additional items may be brought to the property. Mr. Haack indicated he intends to address the problems and is cleaning out the garage.
Vice Chairman Helman moved to start the process of issuing a notice outlining the violations and require Mr. Haack to provide an update at the Sept. 3, 2024 meeting. Supervisor Ryan Nelson seconded and the motion carried 4-0. The board encouraged Mr. Haack to do as much of the cleanup as possible before the next meeting so the board can review progress and remaining tasks.
