Commissioner Susan Lyons reported that, after reviewing the town history books and cemetery records, she compiled a master list of veterans buried in Williamstown cemeteries: "We have 194 in the Village, 60 in West Hill and 51 in East Hill for a total of 305 to date." Lyons said a few records still need confirmation in the Village Cemetery and that she will order additional WWII flag holders.
The inventory is intended to guide placement of flags, upkeep of veteran markers, and ordering of supplies ahead of memorial observances. Commissioners did not record additional funding actions at the meeting beyond the budget line-item decisions; Lyons flagged the records work as ongoing and scheduled ordering of additional flag holders.
