Susan Lyons told the commission she had purchased heavy-duty, powder-coated chains and four new locks for the Village Cemetery gates and gave a key to Joe Mangan. She reported a remaining balance of $104.07 from trustee funds allocated to the chain project and said the committee would absorb or reassign that balance into the cemetery budget. "After this last purchase we have a remaining balance of $104.07 from the dollars received from the Trustee’s for this project," the draft minutes state.
Members discussed future fence work on the top of Garden Street and the lower field and noted that Mike MacAskill was the only bidder who responded to recent requests for proposals. Commissioners observed some lower fence posts remain usable while other sections at West Hill and the Henry Road gate will likely need replacement; they also discussed organizing a volunteer work party to clear brush and small trees.
