Contractor from JM Granite Works outlines sandblasting, mini-excavator plans for cemetery work

Jonathan Maurice, introduced as a guest from JM Granite Works LLC, told the commission he has been working in the town cemeteries this year and wanted to "check in" and meet members. Maurice said he is "looking into buying some equipment to do sandblasting" and expects to have that service running by July. He described sandblasting as a restoration service he plans to offer locally.
Maurice also described plans to acquire a mini excavator "about four foot wide, and between 4-6,000 lbs. and would have a claw for digging," which he said would allow him to enter between rows and stone settings "without doing any damage." Maurice told the commission customer charges would remain the same and that the equipment would improve efficiency and allow him to take on more jobs. Joe Mangan confirmed he will continue to perform burial and cremation digging for the commission.
