Selectboard orders removal of camper at town garage, agrees to enforce Hebert Road speed complaints; Rec Board announces tree lighting

Board members addressed several local, non-financial items. After a report that a camper at the town garage appeared occupied, Barbara Graham said the camper "wasn't being lived in" and described it as recently purchased with a flat tire; the board agreed to ask the Road Foreman to have it removed within 14 days if it remained there.
The board also discussed speeding on Hebert Road after an email from resident Tiffani Zydonyk asking that the issue be addressed. The board noted the road is within a 25 mph school zone, said existing signage is in place and agreed to request Orange County Sheriff presence to monitor and ticket as needed; several residents offered driveway access to aid enforcement.
Separately, Megan Keyes, on behalf of the Williamstown Recreation Board, announced a Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025 at 4:00 p.m., saying there "will be Christmas Carols, cookies and hot chocolate for people to enjoy." Julie Henderson also asked for the Town Hall flagpole to be replaced and the board noted the turnabout near Pike Industries requires state assistance because it is on a state highway.
