San Patricio County commissioners approved equipment purchases on July 20 to support road-and-bridge operations.
Commissioners authorized purchase of a John Deere flex-wing rotary cutter for $26,055.26 from Deere & Company under BuyBoard contract 806-26 for use in precinct maintenance. They also approved buying two mid-size matrix signs (53 by 91 inches) from Texas Highway Products under BuyBoard contract 795-26 for $39,100; the signs will be available for use across precincts for road closures and bridge work.
Both purchases were approved by voice vote with commissioners noting the equipment will be shared across precincts and used for upcoming planned road and bridge projects.
