Council members discussed creating workshop sessions to brief newer members and the public on technical topics including sewer/water rate calculations, the abatement process for derelict properties, and a proposed government-to-government meeting with the Port of Bullipaw Harbor.
Members suggested bringing in subject-matter experts such as the RWCC director and county engineers, and discussed possible formats: a 30–60 minute session before a regular meeting, a separate monthly workshop, or scheduling when state AOC representatives are available for a courts briefing. The council moved to try to schedule an initial session for the next meeting and asked staff to coordinate speakers and timing.
The council also noted the port has recently acquired local infrastructure and requested a joint meeting to discuss potential projects and partnerships.
