Commission boosts 1st Congo food-justice grant to $33,500 after public testimony

Pastor Coleman told the commission the pantry recorded over 14,000 visits in the previous year across 38 zip codes and served over 12,000 hot lunches, and he urged commissioners to support the program’s staffing and operating costs. Commissioners cited the program’s volunteer base and countywide impact in supporting the amendment.
