District reports more than 2,000 at back‑to‑school fair; 1,500+ book bags distributed

We were able to give out over 1,500 book bags. We were able to serve over 1,400 meals,” she said, listing 90 vendors and a range of partner supports from health services to a job fair.
Doctor Jordan and Miss Johnson said supplies remained after the event and described additional opportunities for families to pick up book bags: a Hy‑Vee event (tomorrow evening, 5–7 PM), Comercocks Park (Friday, 11 AM–2 PM) and the Order of the Eastern Star on Adams Street (Saturday). They also said a supply of book bags would be available at the district office via contact Clarissa Brown. The board and speakers thanked volunteers and partners including Springfield Clinic, Molina, Faith Coalition, SEA Local 15 and Teamsters for donations and support.
