Council approves amendment to SRP easement for Rose Lane undergrounding project

The Paradise Valley Town Council approved a first amendment to the Salt River Project (SRP) power distribution easement to reflect a slight change in the underground alignment for the Rose Lane aesthetics/undergrounding project.
Mr. Maguire, presenting the item, said SRP funds are used to beautify areas by undergrounding power lines and that "they asked us to have the easement modified to match what they're actually doing in the field prior to issuing the construction contract." The council previously approved an intergovernmental agreement with SRP; the amendment updates the easement footprint within the same right-of-way.
Council Member Leitman moved to approve Resolution 2026-13 and a second was recorded (identified by a speaker as "Julie"). Mayor Santin called for a voice vote and the resolution passed. Staff said the amendment is administrative in nature — adjusting the recorded easement to match the contractor's planned alignment — and did not change the town's prior commitment to the project.
The council did not receive public comment on the item during the meeting. The mayor was authorized to execute necessary documents to finalize the amendment.
