Public works staff explained the visible work is a UDOT project approved under Safe Sidewalks that currently stops at 42nd; staff said further sidewalk work beyond that point depends on future city funding and property-owner arrangements with the country club. The mayor responded directly on rezoning: "As far as rezoning, I haven't seen anything in our neighborhood," and clarified there is talk about changes near the city center by the Big Lots area, but not in residents' neighborhoods.
