Mayor Rochelle Robinson and host Jason Post credited a downtown master plan and follow-through by city leaders for visible improvements in Douglasville's Town Green and amphitheater. "This is a direct result of a downtown master plan," Post said as he pointed out families using new public spaces.
Robinson described how the city combined planning with appointments and intergovernmental outreach — including work with the Georgia Department of Transportation and regional officials — to deliver projects such as the 92 relocation and conference-center–linked redevelopment that previously displaced surface parking while the city built a parking deck.
